This policy covers austinplaygarden.com — this website and the tour, waitlist and job forms on it. It doesn't cover Famly, paper forms, or conversations at the school, which follow their own practices.

What we collect

When you schedule a tour or join the waitlist, we collect what you enter in the form: things like your name, email, phone number, and your child's name and birth date. If you apply for a job with us, we collect your résumé and what else you enter on that form. We also collect basic visit information through Google Analytics — see "Analytics" below.

How we use it

We use what you submit to respond to you: to schedule a tour, follow up on a waitlist request, or review a job application. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it or share it for marketing.

Where it's stored

Everything you submit through this website — tour requests, waitlist details and job applications — is stored in Austin Play Garden's own AWS (Amazon Web Services) account, which we control directly, not a third-party form or survey platform. We use standard protections to keep this website's forms free of spam, like a hidden field and reasonable limits on how quickly a form can be submitted.

Résumés

If you apply for a job, your résumé is attached directly to the email we send our staff, and is also kept in private storage for up to 12 months, after which it's automatically deleted. The copy in our staff's email inbox isn't on that 12-month schedule — like any email, it stays in their mailbox until they delete it.

Payments (PayPal)

If you join the waitlist, the $150 waitlist fee is paid through PayPal. PayPal handles your card or bank information directly — we never see your card number or bank details. We only see that a payment was made, and for how much.

Family communication (Famly)

Once you're on the waitlist or enrolled, we communicate with your family through Famly, an app we use for messages, newsletters and billing. Famly has its own privacy practices, separate from this website.

Analytics

On the live Austin Play Garden website — never on a preview or testing version — we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read, so we can improve the site.

Children's photos

We only publish a photo showing an identifiable child's face with that child's parent's permission.

To ask what information we have about you, or to have it deleted, email us at kate@austinplaygarden.com. We'll respond and take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle information changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
